Avianca choose Menzies Aviation as its Ground Handler at MIA


Avianca Cargo has picked up Menzies Aviation as its ground handler at Miami International Airport (MIA), says release.

The partnership, which will begin in May will continue for five years. It will see 300 Menzies staff providing cargo ground handling services for Avianca at MIA.

Avianca has a 225,000 sq ft warehousing space at MIA that processes around 250,00 tonnes of cargo each year.

The carrier imports flowers, fish, fruit and vegetables to MIA, and exports commodities.

John Redmond, executive vice president Americas at Menzies Aviation, commented: “We are so proud that Avianca has selected Menzies to be its cargo handling partner at their Miami hub, which is a large-scale and complex operation for the carrier.
