Celebi Delhi Cargo committed to maintaining India’s national and international trade bridge

In these uncertain times owing to the global outbreak of COVID-19, businesses and operations across the world have come to a standstill. However, Celebi Delhi Cargo has remained consistent in its services through continued and safe operations at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in New Delhi, making sure their clients know they are open to support business in this vital cog of international commerce.

Handling majority of cargo operations at the airport, Celebi Delhi Cargo terminal has also been playing a vital role in the medical essentials distribution at the recently designated ‘major hub for the import and distribution of COVID-related essentials’- the IGIA airport.

Adherence to precautionary guidelines and round-the-clock employee support has made it possible for the company to introduce such effective functioning at one of the largest cargo terminals in the country handling more than 500,000 MT of cargo annually.

Adhering to the directives and recommendations issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and country’s aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Celebi Delhi Cargo terminal has been safely carrying out these critical operations at the cargo terminal, in conjunction with the airport operators.

Additionally, various precautionary measures have being taken up to protect the health and safety of the crew, such as mandatory thermal scanning for all employees, usage of hand sanitisers for all employees, mandatory usage of face masks and other PPEs, enforcement of proper social distancing measures, limited entry of people in Public Transaction Lobbies, regular fumigation and disinfection of the cargo, warehouse, as well as office premises. The company has also declared Arogya Setu App, the government’s sophisticated surveillance system mandatory for all employees.

Celebi Delhi Cargo Terminal Management India, a joint venture between DIAL and Turkey-based Çelebi Hava Servisi AS, is also looking up for licenses to operate at multiple other Indian airports in the near future.
