Essar Bulk Terminal Paradip Limited (EBTPL), one of the flagship assets of Essar Global Fund Ltd (EGFL), under its Infrastructure and Logistics portfolio, bagged two awards at the 22nd Greentech Annual Awards 2022.
Greentech Annual Awards serves as a catalyst for understanding the basic value in business excellence and sustainability. This year, the event was held in Guwahati, Assam.
EBTPL bagged awards under two categories. First, the “22nd Annual Greentech Environment Award 2022” in Environment Protection category. The award was conferred upon EBTPL for representing the highest level of commitment to environment protection practices and management. The award aims to recognise model “Environment Protection” operations and system and the evidence of their impact to business vitality. Second, the ‘9th Greentech CSR India Award in the ‘Promotion of Health Care’ category. The award was bestowed upon EBTPL for its CSR work done through Essar Vision Centre. The facility has been set-up at Biju Memorial Hospital Paradip to help the residents of Paradip and adjoining areas have access to eye care and treatment. Essar Vision Centre has been providing comprehensive eye testing from its inception, and the centre is well-equipped with modern ophthalmic instruments for better eye care. The Centre has treated over 45,000 patients and has also been providing free medicines, eye drops and presbyopia glasses to those in need.
The awards were presented by Ved Prakash Maheswar, Former Director- ONGC Ltd, Kamleshswar Sharan, Managing Director and CEO, Greentech Foundation and Kiran DM, Chief Executive Officer, ONGC Foundation. Smruti Ranjan Samantaray, Senior Manager (Operation and Environment) and Shri Yugajyoti Mohanty, CSR In-charge attended the ceremony and received awards on behalf of the organisation.
Essar Bulk Terminal Paradip Ltd, the 16 MTPA all-weather deep-draft terminal is strategically located in the Bay of Bengal in close proximity to China, Japan, Myanmar and the rest of the southeast-Asian region. The terminal also serves the coastal movement for the steel industry within India.
